What is the DBT Skills Training Group?
Our DBT Skills Training Group is a structured, 20-week program that walks participants through the four core skill sets of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It runs virtually every Tuesday, with new registrations opening every 5 weeks, so you don’t have to wait months for a spot to open up.
The group is open to adults 18+ who want practical, skills-based tools for managing intense emotions, impulsivity, or relationship difficulties — whether or not you’ve done DBT before. It’s a supportive space to learn alongside others working through similar challenges, guided by a facilitator throughout.
- Mindfulness — staying grounded in the present moment
- Distress Tolerance — getting through crisis moments without making things worse
- Emotion Regulation — understanding and shifting emotional intensity
- Interpersonal Effectiveness — asking for what you need and setting boundaries

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the group virtual?
Yes — the DBT Skills Training Group runs entirely virtually over Zoom, every Tuesday.
How do I register?
Reach out through our contact form or by phone to book a consultation. From there, we’ll walk you through the next steps and let you know when the next registration window opens.
Can I join if I am not in individual therapy?
This depends on your situation — reach out during your consultation and we’ll talk through whether the group alone is the right fit, or whether pairing it with individual DBT sessions makes more sense for you.
What does a typical group session look like?
Sessions are facilitated and skills-focused, walking through one of the four DBT modules at a time with space for questions and practice, rather than open-ended discussion.
